Lots of updates today, kids. First, I have a new short story out in the world. It’s on an awesome blog called “1:1000,” a site that pairs an original photograph with an original, 1000-word story inspired by the photograph. The photo was taken by the wickedly talented Whitney Ott, and my story is called “Stitched.” You can read it here.

Second, take note of the new “Publications” list on the lefthand side of my blog. I’ve finally amassed enough publications that a list isn’t totally uncalled for (or totally embarrassing). The list will act as an archive with links to all my work on the webosphere (and the printosphere, where applicable), so you can click through and read at your leisure.

Lastly, I wanted to share some photos from my epic road trip. A lot of people have said they’re “dying” (yes, “dying”) to hear about my adventures, which I take to mean they want me to write about these adventures, and I swear, I’m working on it. I took a lot of notes while I was gone, but it didn’t make sense to turn those notes into anything solid until I returned. That’s what I’ve been doing this week, so you can look forward to reading all about the trip in the near future.

Until then, enjoy this photographic sneak peek. And the story. And the list. You can enjoy those, too.
